Shark - Are they worth the money?

When we look at vacuum cleaners, we look at all sorts of functions; pet function, lightweight, capacity, easy to manoeuvre etc… not to mention price. A vacuum cleaner is an investment as we need them to ultra reliable and durable for all home challenges. Cordless hoovers had really become popular in recent years and the appeal is they are light, no wires, easy to do the stairs and ceiling areas however I find the battery life and filters are a problem. When using a cordless Dyson - after 10 minutes the battery needs re-charged. For a quick run around, this is fine but for the weekly household hoover it simply isn’t long enough by the time you get under the furniture and into the corners.

When my vacuum cleaner needed replaced I looked at many different types and eventually bought the Shark AX950UKT. When it arrived it was very easy to put together and considering how substantial it is; was incredibly lightweight. This is the duo-clean meaning that not only does it lift away but the floor head is also detachable. Upon using it, I found it incredibly easy to manoeuvre and the dust that came out of the carpet was quite astonishing! It has 3 modes - 1 for hard floor and 2 for carpets each with a varying power. It comes with 3 attachments which makes cleaning sofas, curtains very easy. Emptying is very straight forward and it holds quite a good capacity - I empty mine maybe once per week. With it being so versatile, it takes up very little space making it ideal for those who have little storage in the home. Id personally say its better than the cordless Dyson cleaners even though its corded.

To summarise, I would personally say the sharks are worth the money although it is an investment. Id recommend having something like a henry for those dirty jobs such as cleaning the fires etc and use this type of vacuum cleaner for running round the house daily. Link below
