Patio: clean or green?

The weather has been absolutely glorious these last few days. The sunshine has no doubt had us all out in our gardens and trying to make the most of the outdoor space we have. We are currently growing a hedge and a lawn from seed… I wasn’t initially holding out much hope as I’m not the most green fingered - that’s Ryan’s remit however it really has came up quick and is looking very healthy bar needing a cut!

One job we get alot of enquiries for is pressure washing as the driveway and the patio take alot of wear through weather and use. Spring comes round and its always one of our first jobs; get the patio ready for the summer get together’s, bbq’s and downtime.

We recently bought a new one as the we had wasn’t working as efficiently as it used to but as you can imagine it gets alot of use! So off we went to the local stores to see and compare pressure washers. Now our main focus is a pressure washer that’s easy to use, powerful and comes with attachments. We generally buy branded equipment as we have found - if you buy cheap, you buy twice.

We settled on a Karcher K2 pressure washer. It wasn’t all singing or all dancing but it has very good reviews and it was less than £100 on special offer! Bargain struck my mind so off we went to the till. Back at home Ryan was rearing to try it out so it was the first thing he did!

It took him half the time to do our patio and front path and I was really pleased with the results. Our grey flags leading to the front door came up white again - not bad considering they have been down 40 years! It came with some attachments and a car kit too!

Ryan had a few different pressure washing jobs booked in the weeks following: 1 was a path around the house which came up well, 1 was a driveway in block paving which was unrecognisable after all the weeds and dirt was removed and 1 was a beautiful sandstone patio! Initally looking at the patio I thought; It isnt too bad at all but wow what a difference once it was cleaned! Picture in the gallery section. All the cleaning was done pretty effortless so we are very happy with our purchase for under £100!

Overall review: A mid range product for a budget price. We are very happy and hopefully it lasts as long as the last one! Link below:
