Keeping your oven clean

First blog in a few months.. I am back on full throttle and doing as many ovens as people can throw at me :-)

One of the questions I get asked the most is ‘‘how can I keep on top of the oven now its clean?’’ Well its not a one size fits all as its dependant on how much time you have to keep on top, your family dynamic and ultimately how much you cook in it…

One item which fits everybody is oven liners (link below) These are non stick, washable and reuseable liners which you can cut to size and place in the bottom of your oven. They dont flap around like tin foil and they catch all the crumbs and spills which is a life saver in todays busy world.

Another couple of items Id advise to have under your sink are pink stuff paste and degreaser (links below). Once per month or more frequent depending on use, spray the degreaser on the oven interior and scrub with a wire scourer (it wont scratch, I promise)

For more heavy duty spills such as cake mix, yorkshire puds etc then use the wire scourer with the pink stuff paste and scrub. This will remove most of the build up and then wash out completely with warm water and buff with a teatowel or kitchen roll.

These steps will help you keep on top of the oven until the time comes to book in for another clean which we recommend annually.

Hope this has been of some help :-)
